Just the Beginning
I haven't made a post in nearly FOUR months. WOW!
If you keep up with my antics on social media then you know a-lot has happened and changed recently. Sometimes the speed of life can move so quickly that we forget to intentionally carve out time for reflection and appreciation, something I've found to be incredibly important.
Let's start here. I now live and work in Indianapolis, IN! About two months ago, I joined the team at RTV6, the local ABC affiliate, as Host of... a new show that I can't yet reveal :-)
Just know that I am SO blessed. To work with a team of creatives who share my vision, support my wishes, hear my concerns and just let me be me is a beautiful thing. When I sit back and really analyze my journey, where I was at the beginning of 2018 professionally compared to my current reality, I am speechless. God will manifest a level of greatness in your life beyond your own belief, and that of others, if you just hold on!
Though I am only nearing my third year in the Television Industry, I've experienced and learned a-lot in my career already. Some day I hope to add Author to my name and share the ups and downs that come along with dreaming any dream.
This is also the first time I've lived this far away from everything I've ever known, including my family who I miss everyday. Matter of fact, I'm trying not to tear up typing this right now.
My leap of faith is for them, my Mom and my Dad. The older I get the more I begin to truly understand the sacrifices they've both made for me. My upbringing, my childhood and the opportunities I've been afforded along the way all tie back to them. I owe it to my support system, and myself, to become somebody great. Somebody rememberable. My name isn't Brejamin for no reason!
I am continuing to unveil the beauty of surrendering to a plan far greater than my own everyday. I challenge you to do the same. No, not everyday will be easy. But count it all joy and know that it will all be worth it. Let go of your own expectations and ideas of the "perfect" life, family, career or relationship. When you least expect it, and often in ways you least expect, everything will fall into place.
This is just the beginning.
