Sometimes during a tough season, whatever it may be, all you need to hear or know is that you aren't alone. I was just given that reminder through a blog post I came across online written by another Journalist. Google will have you all over the place I tell ya.
We don't share our "behind the scenes" often enough. I feel like I say that all the time, though I, too, could be a lot more forthcoming. Just when you think you're at your lowest, remember it could always be worse. That's a reality check for myself and those of you who ended up on this page. Thanks to Google. Or Facebook. Or whatever, I welcome you.
It's comforting to know that my life is not my own, but that same fact drives me up a wall at the same time. He, who created us all, is in total control. Total. Control. Whether we like it or not. Whether we understand it or not. For all the control freaks out there (like myself) I know that reminder stings a bit. Lately I have been struggling to find a balance between surrendering completely to God's plan and will for my life, while also knowing that faith without works is dead. Oh, and also remaining thankful and counting it all joy no matter what! Jesus is not a genie in a bottle.
The only thing I am certain of is that He makes no mistakes, not a single one, and he wants us to live full, abundant, prosperous and purposeful lives.
Rest in knowing that tonight. I will.
1 Peter 5:6
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time"
